yo can someone help, i have a computer which fulfills all the requirements for xp, and i have an XP SERVICE PACK 2 CD in this computer which has no operating system at the moment, and when i partition the space and install xp on the computer, some setup files which are important cannot be copied to the computer and then this affects Windows XP, and thats why windows xp will not install on my comp, any1 haave aany solutions

Are you using the XP cd to partition, format and install??

Have you tried cleaning the cd and the cd-rom player??

Where did you get your cd from - can you return it as defective??

I am using an xp cd to partition format and install

I am sure my cd isnt defective because i had opened it on another computer and it had worked fine

I also tried cleaning the cd drive and cd. would u suggest that i return this cd for a new one or buy a new one, or would u think that this is the computers problem

Have you disabled the on-board (BIOS) anti-virus program?? You may need to??

Where did you get your XP cd from??
