Hi guys

I'm having problems in my pc and can't get it fixed. My brother clicked YES on one of those advertisements that install all that crap stuff and now I'm having lots of trouble getting rid of all that stuff. Even now as I'm writing one pop-up windows has opened.
The case is that I have tons of new programs like "180searchassistant", something like "internet optimizer", "select cashback". To top it off, windows messenger (one that I didn't have before) keeps opening even after I CLOSE it.
I tried some tips I found on this forum, like Add/Remove Panel, running some programs and stuff. Even after I uninstall these programs, they keep coming back. Well, if it ain't enough, I can't get my microsoft Antispyware agents to operate, I don't really know why(I click on activate and nothing happens).
Well, I've seen how you helped many people with similar problems, so I hopefully expected to get some help too.

Thanks Excal! That freed me from most of the problems... Microsoft Antispyware agents are back again, pop-ups have disappeared and my computer looks a little faster now. But still, there are some problems that I think that couldn't be fixed, as microsoft antispyware is still asking for me to block or allow a change at the main search of IE. I think hijack this shows that, but I though I'd wait for a specialist opinion. Trojan Hunter found an archive called "pokapoka..."(I don't remember the final), so I deleted it since I don't remember ever installing something like that, and since it was running on windows startup, I found it was a malware. But still there are some archives in its folder (windows\etb) that can't be deleted by windows "prompt", and on explorer I can't see the folder even with all the options of viewing hidden and systems files enabled. If you can, give me some hints as to how to clear those files. By the names of the archives inside the folders, I think they are some kind of IE annoying search bar.

Another thing that is really boring me is windows mensenger. How can I uninstall it? I keeps opening from time to time, even after I shut it down.

I'll place the logs from hijack this for you to analyze and tell me what to do.
If you like, I can post ewido log too, because it found and cleared most of my computer's problems.

XP SP1a updated and rebooted. MS Antispyware still warns that Searchmiracle is trying to modify some IE entry while windows logon is taking place. It is blocked by MS Antispyware though.

Hi!

Strange, it downloaded and installed. After completed, it asked for reboot and so I did.
I went to check out at windows updates and the only download there is XP SP2.

• Click on Windows Validation Assistant
• Click on the Validate Now button.
• Be patient while the ActiveX loads, do not click on any links.

Hi Excal!

All problems fixed!

I ran hijack this and fixed some threats that appeared and that covered the problems about windows messenger. After that, MS Antispyware found one last vestige of SearchMiracle Elite.Bar and cleared it successfully. Now everything is fine!
