My Dell 8400 running Windows XP has been taken over by the drwtsn32.exe process that is running over 2000 times while my machine is on. It sucks up so much of the system resources that I can't run anything else. Previous to this being a problem (3 days ago) I had done a full scan using both Ad-aware as well as Spy Sweeper (both updated and current). I also run McAfee Security Center and all elements are current. I've looked at the steps that you suggest prior to posting a Hijackthis Log but the problem is that I can't run anything because the processes are consuming my machine. Is there a way to run all the steps you lay out in Safe Mode, etc so that I can get to the point of running the Hijackthis program. Please let me know as my machine is useless in this state.
