Hi all,
Quick question, probably something simple. But, my son needs his windows 98, HP Pavilion computer (which is about 4 years old), restored to it's original state. All he wants to use it for is word and e-mail (school stuff, right!!! haa haa).
Anyone know where I can download the restore information for free (yep, I said the F word).
Thanks

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

Nope.. best you can do is contact HP and see if you can still get the restore disks. Will probably cost you though..

Or, buy a full install version of 98SE.. Either which way, you are going to have to dip into your wallet!!

If you're lucky the complete restoration files will be in C:\Windows\Options\Cabs, or in C:\win98

If you find them, about 100files total, let us know and we can guide you through.
