Current specs are:
1.7Ghz P4 (willamette)
512MB PC133 SD Ram
32MB GeForce 2 card.
40GB HDD
12X8X32 CD-RW

I'm bought and am installing a DVD Burner and plan to purchase this

Saphire Radeon 9600XT 128MB Video Card
and
80GB HDD (7200 RPM, 8MB buffer)

I didn't select a video card too powerful because I thought any stronger and there would be a bottleneck. What do you think? Also the only games I want to play are The Sims 2, UT2k4 and the one coming out, Half-Life 2, and Counter Strike Source. Do these seem possible with the upgrades I'm aiming for? And at what settings do you see them being played at? (low, medium, high?)

You need new ram and a new cpu for what you want to use it for minimum, on top of that card or a better one. especially if you want to play the new unreal tournament.
