Download Process Explorer from http://www.sysintern...ssExplorer.html

Run Process Explorer and find the Process in the list of Processes.
Select this process and click Process > Suspend.

c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe

Then in HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete a file on reboot...
In the explorer Window select the file c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe
When prompted if you want to reboot click YES
Leave Process explorer running with the process suspended.

After the reboot check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rwctrm] c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe r

reboot and post back a fresh hijackthis log please.

Hi Excal, I am sorry but I don't understand your instructions.

I downloaded the process Explorer, then it told me that I needed some debbuging program, I downloaded it, immidiately the process Explorer program started to run.

You say to find "Process" in the list of processes and select this process and clik process suspend. Well I don't see any "process" under the list of files that appear on the window. Also you then type: c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe but you don't tell me why you are puting that on for me. What am I supposed to do with this.

Can you let me know please.

I installed the debbuging already.
And the process explorer is still running. Also now my soundcard is nowhere to be found according to my computer. Wouldn't it be easier if you just log into my computer from remote access and fix it? I don't mind paying you, I just want this fixed.

Thanks so much, and sorry if I sound frustrated

Its ok don't get frustrated, we will get thru it ;)

The process we are looking for it this: edpghh.exe. You need ot scroll down and find that process.

Click on it once, then go to the top of the process explorer to the "Process" pull down menu and choose suspend

then do this:

Then in HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete a file on reboot...
In the explorer Window select the file c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe
When prompted if you want to reboot click YES
Leave Process explorer running with the process suspended.

then do this:

After the reboot check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rwctrm] c:\windows\system32\edpghh.exe r

reboot and post a new HiJackthis log.

Hope that helps..

Thanks,

The process we are looking for it this: lizygr.exe. You need ot scroll down and find that process.

Click on it once, then go to the top of the process explorer to the "Process" pull down menu and choose suspend

then do this:

Then in HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete a file on reboot...
In the explorer Window select the file c:\windows\system32\lizygr.exe
When prompted if you want to reboot click YES
Leave Process explorer running with the process suspended.

then do this:

After the reboot check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [alyerd] c:\windows\system32\lizygr.exe r

reboot and post a new HiJackthis log.

by the way Excal, what about this Winfixer window that keeps popping up? Do I have to put up a new log? and if so can you be the one to help me?

Also what about my soundcard, since I put this ServicePack1 now I have no sound in my computer.

We will deal with the Winfixer very soon ;) Will be a couple steps b4 we get u all fixed up.

Also what about my soundcard, since I put this ServicePack1 now I have no sound in my computer.

Lets deal with your malware issues first, then we will tackle this. :tazz:

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad . Make sure to work through the steps in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fix.
  • CLOSE INTERNET EXPLORER, if it is open

  • Open the folder dsrfix
    • Double click on the dsrfix batch file( the one with the little gear in it )
    • Once dsrfix has completed it will close on its own
  • Run Cleanup
    • Click on the "Cleanup" button and let it run.
    • Once its done, close the program.
  • REBOOT your system.

  • Please restart HJT and post back a fresh HJT log for review.
