i need a couple adjustments on that, i was wondering if u guys could help me
i need a motherboard that is good for home use with a good sound card and video card, (the one u recommended looks good), i need a ddr ram 512 MB, 80 Gig, harddrive, a dvd rw/cd-rw, floppy drive and a card for hoooking up modems, such as dsl or cable (a cat5 cable), im not gonna use a phone modem,

is this all i need, besides a case? how bout a fan inside. Could u maybe find the motherboard website and ram website for me, i will supply the rest, please help

ps.- do u know the website for that motherboard(something for an atx case)?

I was wondering if there are motherboards with 4 USB ports availble... and do the motherboards already come pre-installed wit a pentium 4 (thats what i need) thank you for all your help in advance

i accually spent some more time looking up my products and i have everything i need except for the motherboard. im looking for a Pentium 4 processer that can handle prolly 512 DDR Ram with 80 Gig, cd-rw/dvd-rw and fits inside an atx case

This is the case right here (http://www.newegg.co...asp?style=album)
Case Type: Midi Case
Color: Black/Silver
Material: Steel
Drive Bays: 5.25" x 4/0, 3.5" x 2/2 (external/internal)
Expansion Slots: 7
Front Ports: USB 2.0 x 2
Power Supply: 300W
Cooling System: 1 x 70mm rear
Motherboard Compatibility: ATX

Model#: D313-C2628-P4
Item#: N82E16811164002

so i would need a motherboard that could fit all those aspects, right now my price is not an issue(if you can find a board with a video and audio card that would be great, but if not could u recommend them) also would u leave the site for me too?

thank you very much, u guys are always a help

ok ok ur gonna hate me now, i did some researching on the websites u guys recommended (www.tigerdirect.com) and found these products that i wish to purchase...

MBM-P4845P-2500 Soyo P4I 845PEV 1.0 Socket 478 Motherboard with Pentium4 2.5 GHz Processor

THD-80H Hitachi 80GB / 7200 / 2MB / ATA-100 EIDE Hard Drive

S450-4010 Soyo - Black and Silver Mid-Tower Case with 350 Watt Power Supply, Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers

TC2-DDR-512-3 Premium 512MB PC2700 DDR 333MHz Memory

P450-7217 XFX GeForce2 MX400 Video Card / 64MB DDR / AGP 4X

K13-8002 Mercury PCTel 56K PCI FaxModem

Will all those parts fit together to form a pc that will run fast- that is the main goal.. is there any other products u recommend to replace or add to this build

i will purchase the cd-rw/dvd-rw and floppy drives seperatly so those are not included... also the faxmodem card i thought i needed because i need to hook up a fax machine to the computer, can u look at the motherboard and tell me if i still need it, and do u know where i can find a card to hook up a cat5 cable for my dsl...

also i plan to get these parts, assemble them and then after that purchase XP seperatly, and use a bootdisk or just the CD to load it on there... will that work?

is there anything im missing from that computer to make a good build, a fan, other part, anything at all?

i have been lookin at more cases and the motherboard and cases never seem to match up and then i thought for a sec. and have a question... is the metal casing in the back of the case that shows u where the keyboard port is or the moniter cable goes, is that just for show and it really comes hollow so u can put in any metal backing that comes with your motherboard cause that would make a lot of sense, if you dont understand this question you dont have to answer it but pleaase i need your help with the other motherboard question

Yes, a standard ATX case has an opening for the motherboard I/O ports. Usually the motherboard comes with a plate to install in this opening, and often the case has a standard plate too.

It might be a good idea to compare prices with http://www.newegg.com before you place your order.

do you think you guys could recommend a motherboard for that case (like how it should have 2 usb ports for the front) and make sure it works with all those parts, the real point is to build a fast computer so if u need to change some of the parts i picked that would be ok, just please leave the websites for the different parts, thanks...

I like the Barton XP 2500+ better than the Athlon 2400. This should be a real nice system <_< Odds are you won't need more than 512MB of memory.

How about a video card, modem, CD drive, floppy drive?

What are you going to use this system for?
