Hi all... I'm lost i have no idea what to do and i'm finally gonna ask for help, so here it is..

I was chatting on msn msnger when this person asked me 'hey,is this you?' and gave me a link which i don't remember but it ended in my email e.g '/[email protected]'..S0 i clicked the link to check what this person was on about, but when i did a dos program downloaded and it had the name of my e-mail e.g '[email protected]'.. now i instantlyy knew this mightve been a hoax so i just scanned it with my fully up-to-date norton antivirus and IT WAS CLEAN. Then i opened it and a window opened, then 1-5 seconds later closed and with it so did msn messenger.. Then my norton anti virus got un-installed and i got a winfow wihich wrote something of this kind 'Some windows files may have been corrupted, please insert your windows xp cd', but my cd drive is not working at the moment so i just restarted.. Time to explain why i'm so frustrated. What this virus (or i have no clue what it is) did to my system was:

-My virus scanner is gone..
-I CANNOT INSTALL ANY OTHER VIRUS SCANNER ON MY SYSTEM.. I cannot go on virus scanner sites such as 'symantec.com', i have managed to get an antivirus called 'Avast!' but on fullsystem scan my system appears to be clean
-My msn messnger randomly closes
-I cannot download virus scanner installations from anysitelike downloads.com/or this one... It just self deletes or once i run it, closes automatically 1-3 seconds later
-i cannot open hijack this, to get you guys a log (which is probably the worst)
-i cannot open regedit or ms dos promt
-randomly that last text written by that guy 'hey,is this you?' just writes itself and closes my current chat window (any window/mirc/msn/aim/icq)
-my msn logz self deleted (so i can't get you the link this guy gave me)

I might've forgotten some other things but right now i can't really think straight.. can you guys please suggest something/anything to help me? i'm desperate

Thats great news I'm going to attach a zip file. In it will be an inf a bat and a reg file.

Download the attachment then boot to safe mode by pressing F8 on reboot. Once in safe mode locate and unzip the serflog.zip

Right click on Fixreg.inf and select install.

Next double click on serflog.bat (the one with the gear icon)

let it run it wont take long. Once it finishes try running HijackThis to get me a hijackthis log.

Download each of the following by right clicking then clicking save file as

http://www.atribune....oads/fixreg.inf
http://www.atribune....ads/serflog.bat
http://www.atribune....ads/Serflog.reg

Save them all to your desktop then boot to safe mode

Right click the fixreg.inf and click install

Then run serflog.bat the one that has a gear on it.

Then reboot and try to get me a hijackthis log.

OK i did as you asked and here is what happened..

-Problem

Unexpected error occured!
Error #52 (Bad filname or number) in Sub GetlongPath(?.exe).

Please send a report to [email protected], mentioning what you where doing, and what version of Windows you have.

This message has been copied to your cplip board.

-Then i get

Unable to delete file
O4 - Startup: csrss.lnk = ?

The file may be in use. Use Task Manager to shut down the program and run hijack this again to delete the file.

-When tried to do this, taskmanager said:

This is a critical system process. Task Manager cannot end this process.

-The folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\uiduohvof didn't seem to exist in C:\WINDOWS\system32\ (it wasn't hidden or anything, just wsn't there)
But when i typed C:\WINDOWS\system32\uiduohvof in the adress bar i saw a file crss.ini, which i deleted..

-Now on reboot once i opened hijack this, it stayed open.. which is a good sign, so here's the log
