Have you ever had the problem of installing a game or some other program that requires the cd to be in the cdrom in order for the program to run and you cannot run the program with a windows xp "limited" account? I have. I have not been able to let my 7 year old play warcraft III using his account, the program always says the user needs administrative priveledges in order to do this. I am not going to give a 7 year old an administrator account. I found a solution. No, it's not "Alcohol" which copies the disk to a folder on your hard drive creating a virtual rom. It's service called "User Access Manager" You download the zip file (with the admin account) extract it, run the "run" batch file and restart the computer. This adds a service to your startup list called "Securom User Access for windows 2000 and windows xp a technology by sony DADC" It is very handy and I thought I'd share it with the rest of you smile.gif Go to this link and click "User Access Manager" about half way down the page.
