I have been trying to work through this issue for about two days. Suddenly my browser was being hijacked and pop ups began appearing quicker than I could close them. I have tried a couple of your posted fixes and performance has inmproved. But I am still having problems. I am going to post my latest HJT log. Hopefully youguys can figure this one out. thanks

Please post the whole HijackThis log next time. We usually will not work on a log if you left out the header information (which you did here). You may do the fixes below first but remember to post the header for the new log (at the end - see below, when you are done).

I don't see Aurora here. Did you run any fixes on your own?
Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Make sure you downloaded, installed, updated and ran these programs already - Ad-aware, Spybot and Microsoft AntiSpyware. If you didn't, do them now. For more information, go to http://www.greyknigh...com/spyware.htm

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

C:\WINNT\system32\??sks\ - for this one, go into your system32 folder and see if you can find out exactly what that folder name is called and delete it. This folder has two characters in front of the folder name followed by the letters "sks". Delete that folder. Or if you can't find it, do a search for dvdplay.exe and once found in the search window, right click on that file and choose Explore. It should now reveal what folder that file is under. Delete that folder now.

Restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here. also give me this log:

Download L2MFix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts. Then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening. After a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

OK, run L2MFix again but choose option #4 this time. When that's done, run it again and choose option #1. Post the l2mfix log here.

The HijackThis log is clear Just need to take a quick look at the l2mfix log.
