pop ups + can't open any application

I recently started to get pop ups and then I would click on IE and it would send me to the MSM explorer. I have AdAware, spybot and microsoft antispyware as welll as the latest NAV and panicware pop up stopper. Yesterday booted up, but anything I tried to open would generate a message like "adaware.exe has generated errors. Program needs to be restarted". The same with IE, task manager, Control panel add/remove programs. Nothing was opening. I booted in safe mode, ran all my anti spyware and went back to normal boot up. No joy. I then tried repairing with the W2000 installation disk and made some progress but it is slow and still can't open some applications. Any advise as to what to do next???
