Has anyone heard of the trojan horse startpage.df virus???? On 3/6 my
anti-virus program flagged me that I had this virus so I ran the program to
remove it. The next day I got flagged again that I had the same virus but it infected a different file. The first time it was msinfo.exe and the second time
it was system volume information\restore. I removed it for the second time.
My anti-virus program scans my e-mails before I open them and I don't open
any programs I download without scanning them first. How do you get this
virus and what damage could it do???? Is this a SPYWARE related virus????
I couldn't really find anything which I searched the internet on this.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Sounds like a spyware hijack.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
