Hello,
I am trying to recover from a malware issue (see PSguard post in the malware forum for details).

One of the first things I need to do, since i only have XP - is to load SP1a. When I went to the windows update site, it identified 17 critical or security updates, which I loaded (none of them were SP1a). Upon restart, when I look at Windows info, it still states that it is regular XP (ie, no SP). I ran windows update a 2nd time, and MS wanted me to load SP2. The issue is, that I shouldn't load SP2, until I have this malware issue under control.

So, does anyone know a way to force a load of SP1a for XP?

thanks,

-tex
