Hello again,

I do run AdAware regularly. I just downloaded SpyBot and tried to run it but errors kept coming up when I tried to delete what it found. Here is a copy of my Hijack log. I did a search through here for any other info on SSPPYY and couldn't find any. A general search on the net proved this to be pretty scary for me.
As always, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know how to turn this guy in for what he's done, but I know it's a free world. I should be more mad at ME

Hi,
I was able to get through the first step of your intstructions. I can not get the system to reboot intos safe mode though! I have tried at least 10 times to do it, and each time I am continually tapping the F8 key while doing it. Is there another way to get in?

Restarting in safe mode:
1. Start Windows, or if it is running, shut Windows down, and then turn off the computer.
2. Restart the computer. The computer begins processing a set of instructions known as the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). What is displayed depends on the BIOS manufacturer. Some computers display a progress bar that refers to the word BIOS, while others may not display any indication that this process is happening.
3. As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. 4. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the Safe mode menu item, and then press Enter.

I have tried to do it the way you listed. Many time. I don't know why it won't kick in. I've done it before, on my other computer. This is the first time I've tried on this one. That part shouldn't matter though.

I will keep trying. I have noticed though, that when I do restart, the message does not pop up anymore that says I am being monitored by SSPPYY. However, I am also getting some other error messages dealing with stuff I don't understand. I will write them down as I go, and see if you can help me. Do I post those here too, or is there another forum?

If you can't get into safemode, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, and using the task manager end the following processes.
ViewMgr.exe
saap.exe
server.exe

Then delete the files and folders indicated above. Reboot and post a fresh log.

Hello again..

I did the thing with task manager but did not find
mgr.exe
saap.exe
server.exe

So I then went to look for the other things to delete.

clrprv.oo I tried to delete the whole folder but it kept giving me this message: cannot delete crabymonster: connot find the specified file. make sure you specify the correct path and file name.
So I went in to the folder and individually deleted everything that I could. The only thing left is file 9 with a file in it named crabymonster. I cannot get it to delete.

n-case I could not find

viewpoint - when I tried to delete the whole folder it gave me this message: Axmetastream_.dll is being used by another person or program.
Again, I went in and deleted everything that I could except that one that it wouldn't let me.

I rebooted, and here is my new hij log

Also, when I restart my computer, I immediately get an error message
error loding C:\Program files\wild tangent\apps\CDA Engine d400.dll

I am not sure what wild tangent is even..

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place or not, if not maybe you can direct me to the place for this question. The SSPPYY program that was given to me, could it have been given to me by someone other than the person who the information was being sent too?

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox .
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.
