i need to fix this computer. or i wont get this at home job. basicly the printer would not show up epson stylus c40ux so i started folowing stuff from another forum.. did this at 4 am roughly . now not only not showing printer but says i dont even have a spooler installed
hellllp kinda a time thing i got till tomorow sat augest 6 643 pm

Disconnect the printer and reboot the computer. Then reboot the computer again with the printer hooked up. Let XP "find" it. You should see a "new hardware wizard". If you don't, go into device manager and check the properties of the printer. make sure it is enabled and that you let XP try to get drivers for it.

Lets get back the spooler service first.
Download the attachement. Unzip the spooler.reg file inside. Double-click on the spooler.reg file to merge it with the registry.
Now follow the steps that Czarina told in Post#2.

ok when i attempt to start spooler now it says

ERROR 2 system could not find file


this is from the control pannel addmin tools services > shows printer spooler again but cant start it

Click start, run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD and get a blue bar, after the bar goes, reboot, then look for spooler, click start, run, type services.msc then press enter

ok its taking a long time is it normal to have it load so much dll i got a sp1 win version disk im running sp2 that a prob

and at beginging i clickd cansel so the version wouldnt change

clicker finger got a work out but it is done ima reset now and see it that spooler file is there

same error message as above i tried to load printer drivers off disk and they loaded but said there was a error while loading drivers and that a rpc server not avalable now what
