And I believe that you have some problems with your log, let the experts check that out!

I had done all that to no avail but now it appears that all is well- may have just taken a restart after all that!

If the HJT log you posted is current, run it past the folks on the Malware forum anyway. Their advice will get your system optimized. I am not certified by G2G to analyze logs, but I see issues in your log that I would address immediately on a PC entrusted to my care. 'Nuff said.
