When I start my dad's laptop, (Windows 2000), I get an error message that says

"svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program An error log has been created.."

How do I stop it from doing that? ...

I also get "error loading AUNPS2.DLL The specified module could not be found.."

How do I get rid of THAT?! Help please I have to give it back to him tomorrow (I cleaned a bunch of malware off of it) and these are the only things it's doing wrong!

Sounds like some malware might still be there, please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
