Trouble with refreshing pages while surfing

I have had this issue befiore and had to reload windows to repair it. Just looking for a better way than a total windows reinstall. The problem is that when I am online a site such as E-Bay. When I click an item to view and then try to go back to the original page the application always reloads everything as if I had never been there before. Since I am on Dial-up it takes forever to navigate around the pages. Any suggestions?
