USB Device Error

I recently got a USB adaptor for my iPOD and when I plug it in, an error message comes up "error during installation failed because a function driver was not specified for this device instance."

If you need more info please email me. I am somewhat illiterate when it comes to my computer.

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Apparently you did not install the correct driver for this device. See if you can find a driver for it. Try the manufacturer's web page.
