Hello,

My computer has slowed way down. I am new to the whole thing, including HIJACK THIS.

I am running WIN XP
Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
Available Physical Memory 195.85 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
Page File Space 1.20 GB


I have Trend PC-Cillin as an antivirus; I also use AdAware and Trend Micro Spyware. These show that my system is clean; however, I am concerned as to why it has slowed down. Maybe they are "missing" something? I have not loaded any new or overbloated software to my system. I was hoping that you could/would check this information to see if there is anything in there that shouldn't be...

I have attached a copy of the HIJACK THIS report/scan. Hope I have done it correctly.

don't be ashamed to ask questions, forums are here to answer them. Thank you for the compliment, I am happy to help you.

please post a fresh HJT log in this topic, this means that your previous/older HJT log will eventually NOT be the same as the present scans. So, I requested you to open your Hijackthis tool once again (make sure to close all other windows as well as disconnect from the internet), then make a new scan. Post the new results in this topic which you started by clicking the button ADD REPLY.

We will analyze the new HJT log then make a good fix for it.
