Hi..

I dunno what happened (I think it was all that codec installing and uninstalling but..) According to Launc.yahoo.com:

-----------------------

You must have Windows Media Player installed to use this application. Install Windows Media Player now.

Please use the following error code when writing to Yahoo! Help. (Error Code: 14)

---------------------

Umm.. I have Windows Media player 10.. It runs fine on my comp.. but I can't watch the Launch videos..

Btw.. I installed WMP 10 OVER the already installed.. didn't do anything..

What can I do?

Thanks so much :tazz:

If you want to reinstall Windows Media Player, do the following:

Go to Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs then click on Add/Remove Windows Components. Scroll down to Windows Media Player. Uncheck it and click next. This will uninstall WMP. When that finishes go back to the Add/Remove Windows Component screen and re-check Windows Media Player. You may be prompted for your Windows XP CD.

Hope this helps.

thank you both.. and I did what both of you suggested.. but unfortunately nothing has turned up..

(The Codec sheriff doesn't say Divx is broken anymore..)

But I still can't use Launch..

I also uninstalled WMP and then reinstalled from from the Add remove components and from the MS website..

Neither worked..

Any more help?

Btw.. I used another site.. www.ifilm.com and it worked just fine with WMP.. So, this is, I'm guessing, a Launch thing..

Also, I cleared cookies and files, then tried without results..

Please help!!

battleguard...

Try going into Windows Media Player, click on Tools then Options then click on the Network tab...make sure that all four boxes on the left of the "Streaming Protocols" area are checked...then click on the Configure button...Put a tick in the radio button next to "Auto detect proxy settings" and click "Ok". Apply the settings and click "Ok".

Try Launchcast and post back with the results...
