Hi all, long time listener, first time caller.

Having some trouble with a toolbar which has inserted itself onto my internet and windows explorer windows (with a little help from my browsing habits no doubt!).

I saw this problem dealt with in another thread:
www.geekstogo.com/forum/Problems_ with_unwanted_Toolbar_WareOut-t43039.html

This would seem to be the same toolbar, as I too had wareout but removed that with no (apparent) problems. It also has the pharmacy, finance etc. tabs.

So far i've tried Spybot S & D, Adaware SE, AVG Antivirus and CW shredder (thought why not!) without success (all are up-to date). I read somewhere that microsoft's anti-spyware program solves the problem but i downloaded it and it won't run on my OS (windows ME)

Now, I'm anything but a computer boffin, all these registry's and safe modes are double dutch to me, so if someone could help me out in the simplest of terms it would be greatly appreciated. I assume running Hijackthis (which i've yet to download) and posting the results is the best way to get this sorted, but if anyone can give me a quick fix, all the better.

Gura mile maith agut (thank you) in advance,

Howdy and welcome to G2G:

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
