Hi,

I hope someone would be kind enough to help me... ;)

Recently, I began to be unable to connect to the internet (timeouts) and, if I did get connected, my browser (FFox) would either fail to find pages, or require multiple attempts.

I also noticed that my firewall (Sygate Free) was failing to appear in the taskbar.

Generally, my system was slow and crashed occasionally.

AVG scanner, spybot and adaware all showed clear. In the process list however, I came across entries of "Defragmentation Manager" and "SCardClnt" - following advice elsewhere, I killed and deleted these processes believing them to be malware related.

I still have the same problems, however.

When I use "Start:Connect to Internet", run Firefox, or manually run Sygate, DRWTSN32.EXE appears (sometimes multiple instances) in the process list, taking up ever increasing memory. If I end these processes, I can operate as normal, although Sygate will always seem to close after a few minutes. (I am aware that windows includes the DrWatson program, but I can manually run that utility without encountering any problems.)

I have followed the suggested first steps on this website, to no avail. :tazz:

Here is my HJT log:
