i have a p4 2.0ghz @the moment and i want to upgrade it on a budget without changing the m/board which celeron processor is superior to this,i play a lot of games and use a graphics editing pckage regularly. or any other ideas?

You should stick with a p4 then, a celeron lacks the multimedia features of a p4 they are similar in terms of raw processing power but you will get more performance on the apps you use with a p4.

i agree, even on the budget systems i sell, id give someone an older pentium before a new celeron...

Maybe look about for a faster pentium, they will be getting cheaper now.
