Ive asked for help on this before and no-one has replied?

Brief run-down on problem. When i try to open MSN messenger it fails to open and the usual error message comes up (Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close)

Ive found out the error description in the event viewer:

The description for event ID (1000)in source (messenger) Cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE = flag to retrieve this description ; see help and support for details. The following information is part of the event: msnmsgr.exe, 7.0.816.0,msnmsgr.exe, 7.0.816.0, 001f617e

Does anyone know what this means?
