Are there any error messages?

If not, when the computer locks up, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the task manager. Select the Processes tab and see if there is a process which is taking up 98%-100% of the CPU utilization.

It may take a little while for the task manager window to pop up

What web browser are you using? Also have you tried using a different browser such as Mozilla or Opera?

When watching a video is it in your browser or and external application, like WMP or Quicktime?

Go to the Malware forums. There they will be able to help to detect and remove any malware that may be/is on your system.

Malware Forum

I am also going to PM a moderator to have this post moved to the malware forums. Some one in there will ba able to help you.

You need to start a new topic in the Malware forums, as described above. If we move this post, you will not receive help. When we look for logs to work on, we search for ones with ZERO replies, so this would get overlooked.
