For about a month now when I log on to certain websites (school mail, banking, etc.) I'm unable to log on to them. When I click something on the website nothing happens.. nothing loads. I was planning on going to Dell Help and Support that came with my computer, but when I click it nothing happens. Now, when I click System Restore, Search, Help and Support, and other programs nothing happens or loads.

I tried re-downloading Windows XP with my roommates disk, but it said it was unable to because the 25 number that comes with the disk was incorrect, which I'm guessing it's saying this because it's already registered with her. Is there anything I can do without having my disks? I have no problem deleting everything on my laptop if that's what it takes.

Please! Someone help!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
