wireless pci card help!

i just bought a 802.11g wireless pci card made by hawking technology. the model is HWP54G. it installs perfectly and I know the pci slots work. But it doesn;t connect to my wireless router. I have a wireless g router by belkin. i have installed a wireless card on my laptop no problem. so I know it should work. I need help.

Check that wireless is enabled in the router and disable any high speed modes or pre-n features.
