1) Have you checked you comptuer for spyware, malware, virus's etc?
2) Have you been keeping you comptuer and security software up to day?
3) Make sure that you have the lastest version of MSN Messenger, then try again.

yea ive done that, i ran AVG and norton, both updated...i've got the latest of messenger...but nothing

Are you running 2 anti-virus software?
If so take one off cause you dont need to and it can cause an conflict.
For you MSN Messenger problem, do you have messenger plus on your computer as well?
If so, check that you have not set that to hide you MSN Messenger icon
