Hi,

I'm trying to get rid of Zestyfind and the annoying pop-ups it brings along with it...

I have a HijackThis scan report below...I've tried to remove it with Spybot, McAfee, Spyware Doctor &AdAware but even though a few tools find it they don't manage to delete it once and for all...any help would be much appreciated before I go for route one and reinstall the operating system (over the top but its started to get to me...)

Just one more quick question if I may - do I need to purchase the full version of ad-aware to install the plug-in? The install doesn't seem to update as expected.

I've fixed the other items - thanks for taking the time to look at this.

Works fine on my free version. <_<

If you don't succeed download:
http://www.downloads...g/VX2Finder.exe

Under Version put a checkmark before all the versions and hit Click to Find VX2.BetterInternet

Then copy and paste the log it makes into your next post.
Please let us look before you delete anything.

Do me a huge favor. Dump Spyware Doctor and trust AdAware. <_<

Can you let us know what exactly it claims to have found and where?

Regards,

Pieter

Consider SpyDoctor dropped...

Zestyfind (Unknown Hijacker)
Tool name: General Scanner
Infection location: multiple
Infection type: general malware
Infection risk level: Medium
Infection description: Alias Adware.Winfavorites. Kaspersky antivirus calls this Trojan.Win32.StartPage.ar. This is a Browser Help Object (BHO) toolbar that hijacks both your home page and search page.

Although its not actually hijacking my homepage - I did have Naupoint last week and managed to flush that out (I think).

Ad-aware came up with the following...

The 9 found objects are MRU's (Most Recently Used) tracks. By AdAware own description, you can ignore those. I do.

The only BHO's you have are the Acrobat Reader and Spybot S&D..

As long as you don't have any symptoms and AdAware doesn't alert you to anything, enjoy your computer and don't worry. <_<

Regards,

Pieter

PS What are these?
