OK Murray I have the oem boot disk
my se is for my gateway system
I do have a delf extracting 98 (not 2nd edition) that requires no oem or key will it work with the 2nd edition boot disk?

Every Windows install requires a key code.. Where did you get that one from??

Its one that came with a machine I inherited
I have used it to get the system on a pc and then used my 98 2nd edition to install the registered copy

I am not a pirate
sometimes it is just easier to load or get 95 based boxes to upgrade

This is the first time it has failed

I think your problem is because you are using a Dell disk on a Gateway system..

Okguys
I do appreciate all the effort

I found the registration numbers and the oem key for the 95 disk, and the machine loaded without further ptompting

All I have leftnow is to learn how to end this topic so it shows resolved.
