I get this:

The requested URL could not be retrieved...

The following error was encountered:

The request was rejected because the port it was connecting to
is not configured to receive the protocol being sent.
Please contact your network administrator.

When I try and connect to an secure site say www.gmail.com
You see a sign in at
https://www.google.c...i...3Dhtml&zy=l

but I see the above.. (I know this because I had it bookmarked to sign in.)

or anything secure..

1) Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

2) Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.

3) Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.

4) Select "Delete on Reboot".

5) Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\OWNER\FAVORITES\Living

6) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

7) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try The Killbox again..

Reboot.

Open Internet Explorer,

Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Delete your temporary internet files and cookies.

Click on Start
Click on Settings
Click on Control Panel
Click on Java Plug-in
Click on the Cache tab.
Then click on the Clear button and hit OK.

Run Panda ActiveScan<<<Accept default settings, save and post the log

Then post the log from PandaScan, as well as a new HiJackThis log.

Please follow the instructions provided, you may want to print out these instructions and use them as a reference.

Download Cleanup from Here (Alternate site if the above is not working Go Here)

A window will open and choose SAVE, then DESKTOP as the destination.
On your Desktop, click on Cleanup40.exe icon.
Then, click RUN and place a checkmark beside "I Agree"
Then click NEXT followed by START and OK.
A window will appear with many choices, keep all the defaults as set when the Slide Bar to the left is set to Standard Quality.
Click OK
Do not run it yet.

Please download ewido security suite it is a free version of the program.

Install ewido security suite
When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck..
- Install background guard
- Install scan via context menu
Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double-click it.
The program will now open to the main screen.
When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
- On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
- Then click on Start Update.
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
(the status bar at the bottom will display ("Update successful")

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.

Once the updates are installed do the following:

Click on scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
You will be prompted to clean the first infection.
Select "Perform action on all infections", then proceed.
Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
Click Save report.
Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.

Close ewido security suite.

Run Cleanup

Click on the "Cleanup" button and let it run.
Once its done, close the program.

Then run PandaScan again, and post a new HiJackThis log.

Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.

3) Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.

4) Select "Delete on Reboot".

5) Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\GHMJKTA3\bridge-c18[1].cab

6) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

7) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try The Killbox again..

Yes. I took off programs that I downloaded. I know not to mess with msconfig and not know what program im taking off. I love it. My computer start's up really fast.

Scan your computer with HJT, and post a log.
