I've had some oddities. When I'm on a site such as myyahoo, or geekstogo, Essentialnetworks's Netscan shows a firefox (or IE) connection to 007arcadegame.com or citi.bridgetrack.com , along with my yahoo. I've run the programs listed in the geeks to go malware recommendations and don't get any indications. I run ZA Pro, Mcafee Virus scan, Have Trojan Hunter running (previously had microsoft antispyware running), have run adaware, spybot, Ewido, CWShredder, and still it keeps showing up.

It shows up at times as connected to IE or Firefox, and at times as a TCP connection.
007arcadegames.com is in my host file set to 127.0.0.1

This is the netstat line:
Firefox.exe TCP 127.0.0.1 2234 127.0.0.1 2748 TIME_WAIT 007arcadegames.com
Firefox.exe TCP 127.0.0.1 2234 127.0.0.1 2748 TIME_WAIT citi.bridgetrack.com

Sometimes it's Established rather than Time_wait.

Zonealarm Pro doesn't show any firewall alerts from external sites. I've followed thru all the ZA recommended procedures and nothings changed.
I'm behind a DI-604 router. If I access directly thru DSL modem or via dialup, Firewall alerts show up.

Here's the hiJackThis log:

Problem mostly solved. The problem was caused by my system picking up the first line of the hosts file, in this case 007arcadegames.com and substituting it for my computer name. I discovered this by putting "127.0.0.1 test.test" as the first line in hosts.

test.test began showing up in Netstat. Removing the host file completely resulted in my computer name being shown in netstat. Don't know what's causing it, but the work around I discovered was to put 127.0.0.1 my computer name in the first line of the host file.
