Trojan Horse Collected.5.L on msdirectx.sys [CLOSED]

Hello Experts

Been trying to clean a friends WinXP SP1 PC that has signs of Trojan Horse Collected.5.L (as per AVG) and Bropia 100 (as per TrojanHunter). IE jumps straight to some dodgy web sites (something like www.everything4you) loading up various popup windows re:- avantars etc. Trojan horse Dropper.Agent.IA seems to come and go as it pleases too. Ewido mentions Adware.SAHA, Spyware.180Solutions and Spyware.Hijacker.Generic.

Followed all the steps. Even loaded Firefox. Can get the PC totally clean but as soon as I plug in the broadband router, BAM, I get hit again!

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
