Please help me. I have done all the steps you said before posting but I am still getting warnings from Ewido.
I tried to do what Symantec suggested, i.e., start the computer on Safe Mode with Command Prompt but my keyboard doesn't work. However, if I start on simple Safe Mode, my keyboard works but the file that I'm supposed to delete couldn't be found.

Hi susanamac

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Please download and install AD-Aware se.
[urlhttp://russelltexas.com/malware/adawarese/adawarese.htm]Check Here on how setup and use it[/url] - please make sure you update it first. Don't run yet.

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop. We may need it later.

Please download SpyBot V1.4 http://www.majorgeek...wnload2471.html Update the program then run it.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please go to the following website
Please download Nailfix
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Then immediately delete the bad file from your system32 folder. C:\WINDOWS\system32\beyqve.exe r.

Reboot into Safe Mode: Please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Run Ewido full scan. Save the scan.log.

Clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to start> run> type into the box Prefetch and delete all the files in that folder.<--XP only

Please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Run Ad-aware se let remove all it finds

Clean out temporary and TIF files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr. Let it scan your system for files to remove. Make sure all are checked and then press *ok* to remove:

Let the system reboot as normal.

Please run the following free, online virus scans.

Please post the log From Panda virus scan. We will need them to remove previous infections that have left files on your system.

Run HijackThis and post the new log.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have done your instructions except run the nailfix.cmd because it won't run on safe mode.

I also did not find the bad file you identified which is c:\windows\system32\beyqve.exe r.

Hopefully my computer is now rid of those malwares.

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items:

Go to Start->Run and type in regedit and hit OK. Go to File->Export and save the registry somewhere as a backup. Close the Registry Editor now. Go to Start->Run and type in notepad and hit OK. Then copy and paste the following into Notepad:

Save the file as "wstart.reg". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Double click on it and choose Yes to merge it. You may delete the file afterwards.
Doubleclick the file and confirm you want to merge it with the registry. Make sure you do this step first before going any further.

Use windows explorer delete the following file's/folder's: If found
C:\WINNT\system32\P2P Networking v125.cpl
C:\WINNT\tcpservice2.exe
C:\WINNT\system32\wstart.dll

Reboot as normal.

Please run the following free, online virus scans.

Please post the log From Panda virus scan. We will need them to remove previous infections that have left files on your system.

Run HijackThis and post the new log.
