The "not found" files are Norton files and they were not found because Norton must be protecting them.


Do you have any issues with your PC other than the login Accounts issu ???

Hi & Good Morning!
Looks like we're about 'good-to-go' then, eh? The only issue, I don't know if is directly tied to the LogOn Acct issue or not, or just shows up co-incidentally at that point. I experienced it again this morning on bootup - and was finally able to get the full info from the error message by vocally recording it (off-board dictating machine) before the system ultimately crashed. Here, to the best of my ability to recreate it in my thoughts, is the sequence:

STARTUP ERROR

Event sequence:
Power on computer - it boots up, opens 'Compaq' splashscreen/desktop.
At this point, I normally do 'Start > 'Log Off User' > 'Log Off' > then on next screen, [ Special Log On Acct ] // [ User ], take the 'User' option, &

my regular 'Astro' desktop opens. However....

If I do not 'promptly' do the 'Log Off User' & switch routine, ie, just let the 'Compaq' splashscreen/desktop sit there, (was distracted - tied up on telephone) the computer changes itself over to the [ Special Log On Acct ] // [ User ] screen. Then when I click the [User], as my regular 'Astro' desktop is opening, I get :

'Roxio' as you're possibly very aware, has something to do with my CD/DVD system on the laptop. My action this morning was to power off the system & reboot, following my normal routine.

Run Time error means that the file has been corrupted and one its internal modules is not functioning properly.
