Welcome SamIam :D!

Your computer has a number of spyware programs that we need to remove. For more info on spyware see the Spyware FAQ link in my signature.

Let's start with a couple free programs. If you're on dial-up, just download and install Spybot Search & Destroy. If you're using broadband also download and install Ad-aware. Using two programs increases the likelihood of eliminating these spyware pests automatically.

Using Spybot: Start Spybot S&D using the "Spybot-S&D (easy mode)" link from your Start menu . Click the Search for updates button, if any are found then click the Download Updates button. After all updates are downloaded, click the Check for problems button. When the scan is complete, place a check next to anything marked in red, then click the Fix selected problems button.

Using Ad-aware: Open Ad-Aware and use the Check for updates now link. Download and accept the latest reference file. When finished click the Start button. When done scanning, the Abort button will change to Next. Click the Next button. Right-click in the Scanning Results window and click "Select all objects". Then click the "Next" button and confirm that you want to delete the selected entries.

When finished, Reboot your computer. Finally, reply to this post with a new HiJackThis log so we can look for any nasties that may have been missed. <_<

CLICK HERE to download Spybot S&D

OK, better, getting there.

1. Go offline

2. Do a new HiJackThis scan

3. Check the following:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\PSD TOOLS\BLENGINE.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WNSCPSV.EXE

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WNSI] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wnscpsv.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BLMessagingIntegration] C:\Program Files\Common Files\PSD Tools\blengine.exe

O16 - DPF: {41F17733-B041-4099-A042-B518BB6A408C} - http://a1540.g.akama...meInstaller.exe

4. Then click "Fix Checked"

5. Post back with the results <_< (Are the pop-ups still there?)

Probably, installed by your ISP to access the Internet. Let me double check...

edit: yes these are from your ISP. It would have been okay to delete them--they just would have showed up again in the next log. <_<

P.S. Good work Nathan. :D When I scanned this log I missed the BLENGINE.EXE, that's a pretty new pest that's used to spread viruses accrosss the AIM network.

Missed one. This should do it <_<

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

C:\PROGRAM FILES\WILD FILE\GOBACK\GBPOLL.EXE
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-C0FF-FD60B590A87D} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\REAL\TOOLBAR\REALBAR.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [GoBack Polling Service] C:\Program Files\Wild File\GoBack\GBPoll.exe

Reboot your PC.

To avoid these "nasties" in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

More info and download is available at:
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacools...areblaster.html
SpywareGuard: http://www.wildersse...ywareguard.html

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will several impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.

More info and download is available at:
IE/Spyad:
