Trouble with updating AdAware

I have the free personal version of AdAware and was going to do my daily update/scan when I encountered a problem updating.

It says new definitions are available, but when I download them, it stops at 5%, freezes, then tells me "The download definitions file could not be read, please update again." everytime I try.

What's up?
