i tried to install some software on my computer. i saved it on my comp and then tried to install but after i double click on the icon to install it, it just seems to disappear into la la land. i then decided to reboot and i got the message rundl32.exe is not responding...i clicked the end now option and then right before the comp shuts down i see the fisrt page of the installation in the backgroud. i been through this a few times now, and cant seem to get anywhere, and no matter what i do i always get that rundl32.exe not responding when i am shutting down. any thoughts?

Sorry, I should have read your post more closely, then I would have realized you weren't able to boot.

At least the reformat and reinstall worked. Don't forget to update Windows. I hope you didn't lose anything to important during the reformat.
