i tried to install some software on my computer. i saved it on my comp and then tried to install but after i double click on the icon to install it, it just seems to disappear into la la land. i then decided to reboot and i got the message rundl32.exe is not responding...i clicked the end now option and then right before the comp shuts down i see the fisrt page of the installation in the backgroud. i been through this a few times now, and cant seem to get anywhere, and no matter what i do i always get that rundl32.exe not responding when i am shutting down. any thoughts?

Welcome Yote <_<

Sounds like it may be spyware related. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Sorry, I should have read your post more closely, then I would have realized you weren't able to boot. <_<

At least the reformat and reinstall worked. Don't forget to update Windows. I hope you didn't lose anything to important during the reformat.
