I have got the winfixer 2005 and it has infected both firefox and MSIE i will be very thankful if someone would help me.

A malicious .DLL file is disrupting the LSP chain on your computer. We need to get rid of it;

• Please download LSPFix from here.
• Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
• Check the I know what I'm doing box.
• In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of aklsp.dll
• Select every instance of aklsp.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
• When you are done click Finish>>

Then do the following;

1- Check quickly Microsoft Update for any available critical updates. If there is any, install them and reboot. If not, let it be.

2- If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, follow these download and setup instructions, otherwise, check for updates:
Ad-Aware SE Setup
But don't run the scan quite yet.

3- Launch Ad-Aware SE and click on the gear to access the Configuration menu. Please make sure that this setting is applied;

Click on Tweak => Cleaning engine => UNcheck "Always try to unload modules before deletion". Click on "Finish". Do a Full System Scan and remove ALL it finds.

4- Click "Start", Run and type in; MRT
Click "Ok". When a window pops up, hit "Next". It will scan. Let me know of the results when you post your next reply.

5- Reboot & post a fresh HiJackThis log once done everything.

Wow.. Nail.exe isn't there anymore. But the other ones are..

Do NOT reboot unless I ask you to!

Please print these instructions out, or write them down, as you can't read them during the fix.

First;

Please download Ewido Security Suite it is a free version of the program.

• Install Ewido Security Suite
• When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck..
  • Install background guard
  • Install scan via context menu
• Launch Ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double-click it.
• The program will now open to the main screen.
• When you run Ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!" Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
  
• You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
  • Then click on Start Update.
• The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
• Exit Ewido. DO NOT run a scan yet.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.

Download CleanUp
Install the program, dont run it yet, we will later.

Please download this file: the Nailfix Utility
Save it to your desktop.
DO NOT run it yet.

• Immediately delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\mnsult.exe from your system32 folder.

Now do this;

Click Start => Run => and type in;

services.msc

Click "OK".

In the services window find service; System Startup Service (SvcProc)

Right-click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type" in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then "Ok". Exit the Services utility.

• Open HiJackThis
• Click on the configure button on the bottom right
• Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
• Click on "delete an NT service"
• Copy and paste this in: SvcProc
• Click "ok", then reboot

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.exe.
Click "Next" in the setup, then make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish".
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Now open Ewido and do a scan of your system.

• Click on scanner
• Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
• Clean anything it finds.
• Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
• Click Save report.
• Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.

Close Ewido.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

Close all open windows except for HJT, then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Enable show hidden files and folders:

Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files - option.

Now using Windows Explorer find and remove the following folders/files and delete if present;

C:\WINDOWS\wt\ <= Entire Folder
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ <= Entire Folder
c:\windows\system32\ifiluy.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fp2o03f3e.dll
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

Now run the CleanUp program:

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
CleanUp deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups.
If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp

Running CleanUp

• Start CleanUp by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
• When CleanUp starts go to the Options button (right side of CleanUp screen)
• Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
• Now place a checkmark next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Delete Cookies
    This is optional, if you leave the box checked it will remove all of your cookies, at this point removing cookies is a good idea
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Cleanup! All Users
• Click OK
• Then click on the CleanUp button. This will take a short while, let it do its thing.
• When asked to reboot system select No
• Close CleanUp

Finally, restart your computer back into Normal Mode and please post a new HJT log, as well as the ewido report log from the Ewido scan by using Add Reply

1) Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

2) Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.

3) Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.

4) Select "Delete on Reboot".

5) Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\Documents and Settings\tab\Application Data\Sskknwrd.dll

6) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

7) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..

Let the system reboot.

Post me the following;

• Open HiJackThis
• Click on the configure button on the bottom right
• Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
• Click on the Box that says "Uninstall Manager"
• Click on the button "Save list"
• Copy and paste the List from the notebook onto your post

Still got some pop-ups and Firefox i hijacked by something called dirtyhippo.
And every time i reboot my computer i got a message that i can't find nail.exe

But winfixer seems to be gone and so i desktop search which started every time i turned on my computer.

Update your Java;

1. Click Start > Control Panel.

2. Double-click the Java icon (coffee cup) in the control panel. It will say "Java Plug-in" under the icon - please find the update button or tab in that Java control panel. Update your Java, and reboot.

Next, go and download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox here; http://www.mozilla.org/

Don't install it quite yet.

Go to -> Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs and uninstall the following entry if present;

Mozilla Firefox (1.0)

Let it uninstall all components.

Install the Firefox 1.0.6 from the installer you downloaded.

Can you then do the following if you're still having problems;

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
  Standard
  
  • Scan Options:
  Scan Archives
  Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
• This program will start to scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.
• Copy and paste that information in your next post.
