My computer will not sign off after I have been on Aol It will connect fine then I click sign off but it is still connected some how my phone line is still connected to the internet. I do not know what to do dell states it is in the software and Aol states it is in the computer. I need help please anyone have suggestions

Try the following with Windows XP:

Start> Control Panel> Network and Internet Connections> Network Connections

Right-click on your connection and click "Disconnect".

It should disconnect you from the internet.

This does not work the only thing that has helped so far is if I unplug the phone from the computer and plug it back in thanks though

Try re-installing AOL or creating a new connection. This may fix the problem.
