I'm not sure about that though. Well, i'm not a computer expert.
So my question is, is it better to get a 1 GB DDR or a 512 MB DDR2?

hopfully ddr3 comes out soon it will be awsomeFrom what i have read there is no clear advantage from the DDR2 modules over the latest in low lateny DDR modules in fact when you are gaming the DDR wins , this is the reason it hasnt been adopted by AMD it may be that they are waiting for the next memory type which is not far of. If you have an intel board and chip you should get the DDR2 because they seem to operate slightly better with it. But DDR2 is going to be replaced soon anyway.
