Hi, I too am having a problem with winfixer pop-up. I haven't tried to do anything to fix it yet and in researching this problem have come across a lot of information about fixing this. It all looks way to complicated for me, and I was wondering if it might not be easier for me to just do a system restore. I don't have a lot on my PC, mostly digital photos and some misc. documents, nothing I couldn't save to disk and reload later.
My concern's are:

will system restore be enough to get rid of this
I have a broadband connection which had to be configured by the cable company, as well as voip service, will system restore mess any of this up or will I just be able to reboot and add my new hardware?
Same for memory, I have added additional memory, taking out the factory installed, will this be a problem?
I am not very computer literate, and if this is a complicated thing to do, I might just leave the winfixer crap and just deal with it.
