What is actually stealthing?

Is it like a port protection layer that makes sure that no one can 'HJ the ports'?

Awesome :tazz: .

Cause I noticed this with Zone alarm, I have it set to high on all zones and it says this:

High: Stealth Mode; Your computer is hidden and protected from hackers.
Sharing is not allowed. This setting is recommeneded for the Internet Zone.

But I have this on both Internet and Trusted.

You can go to Gibson Research Corporation Web Site and Test PC for Internet Security. Run SHIELDS UP Test for 1056 Ports & LEAK TEST.
You will get a REPORT back with explanation.

The best protection is STEALTH. . . .You are there - but - No One detects you by pinging - if you are only closed a port - you will be detected and whoever will just keep pinging until sometime you are open
