Since many days, I have not been able to run windows media player. Whenever I try to load media player, it responds "an internal error has occured". Some times, it shows an error code 00006503. It gives the normal pop-up of the XP telling that to report this problem to Microsoft. I tried reinstallation of the new version of media player on top of that. Even it didn't work.

Can anybody tell me the solution to the above problem, I would be grateful.

Hi. I would try removing and reinstalling WMP. Go to the control panel, add/remove programs, on the left side chick on add/remove windows components. Find WMP and remove it. Then re-install it.
