In the Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) there is a field,
called "Protocol", to identify the next level protocol. This is an 8
bit field.

41 states that the next level protocol is IPv6

Should I start using IPv6?

If so, how do I do it?

IPv6 is not used over the Internet as yet.
But u can use it for ur private LAN, if u want.
Refer this FAQ by M$ for Ipv6 in WinXp.
