is there a way to flatten a word 2000 form so the fields can not be editted after it is filled in?

I have a form that has over 100 fields some do calculations. it will be filled out and then sent to a customer for approval. Is there a way to flatten a form so the customer could not make changes to the form after. i have already protected the document using the forms option. I now want to protect the form fields so they can't be changed.

Thanks for the help

If it can be sent in PDF then use PDFreDirect V2

The green one is free

It is a virtual printer and you can also password protect a document.

If you select the text from a PDF you create with this and paste in to Word, you only get undecipherable code.
