Hi all.
Most of you probably already know this and already do this
but for the few that don't, here is a couple tips. :)

If you click on the site below, type in your
ID and password....you can put it in your Favorites
or Bookmarks and it will take you right here to these threads.

And if you would like to NEVER have to log on again, I come
to this site through the Mozilla Firefox browser and it has a place
to click on, if we want to stay logged on....and I do. :tazz:

One more thing, if anyone would like to know how to add a picture,
like my pretty flower and butterfly ;) and you are not sure how, you can
ask me here or send a personal message.

Sincerely, Janie
CLICK BELOW and it will take you right back here!

Thanks fflowergirl. But be aware that the feature which allows your login details to be remembered on the website relies on a 'cookie' file being sent to your PC. Should you be in the habit of deleting all cookie files you will have to login again next time you visit the site. The trick is to use a utility which can delete all cookies except those you want to keep. one such free utility (which also clears out your temporary internet files and other temp files) is "Ccleaner" from http://www.ccleaner.com/

Thanks for the tip, PIP. :)

I tried it...deleted cookies on my Firefox and it DID un-log me. ;)

It has been such a long time since I've had to log on that I amost had
forgotten my password!

I click on 'YES' for password manager to remember it...

Thanks again and I'll KEEP my 'cookies' for the GEEK site. :tazz:

I had almost forgotten about an even easier more convenient way
to get to our favorite websites.

With Windows XP, if we right click on the body of the website, we can
then click on 'Create Shortcut' and have an icon on our desktop.

VERY CONVENIENT feature and with Mozilla Firefox, it even has my ID and password
saved so it is ready to go!without signing in.

Love, Janie :tazz:

I have a seperate folder on my desktop for GTG! And that fold contains many links to important sites and forums in here! Because this is 75% of my time spending area!

GeeksToGo is saved as a "toolbar favorite" in FF, along with CastleCops (to research HJT log entries) and my canned speeches! I have three sets of "canned speeches"...one is "HJT Canned", "Admin Canned" and "GeekU Canned" :tazz: I had to create a toolbar for it all! :)

I usually only have to log in to the site once per day, since I'm here sometimes upwards of 8-10 hours a day! :)

Go to your Bookmarks in FF, then click "Manage Bookmarks" Highlight the folder you want made into a toolbar by single clicking it, then go to "Edit>Set as Bookmark Toolbar Folder"

and viola! Everything in that folder will now be on an easy to access single click toolbar! :tazz:
