Hi im running explorer6.0 on windows xp home edition. the problem is that when i open the browser, i get a lot of popups. my book marks have been modified as sumhow theres new ones from advertising companies, and when right clicked it does not delete. simply gives an option of "close toolbar".

i noticed in the task manager there was about 3-4 iexplorer browsers. every time i closed one, another shows up.

okay now I can see that you have LOP infections

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Reboot in SAFE MODE. (How to boot in Safe Mode...)

• Uninstallation
  We need to uninstall the following programs:
• Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
• Please locate if they exist

Through Windows Explorer, delete the following folder(s) or files(s) if they exist (in bold):

• C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3\ <-- whole folder
• C:\Program Files\Media Gateway\ <-- whole folder
• C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Road burn vc 32\ <-- whole folder
• C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\BURNBR~1\ <-- whole folder, this is just an abbreviation look for something similar

Finally, Empty Recycle Bin

Run Ewido:

• Click on scanner
• Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
• During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK
• When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK.
• When the scan is finished, click the Save report button at the bottom of the screen.
• Save the report to your desktop

Close Ewido

Search for the jobs:

Open notepad and copy and paste next in it:

Save this as findjobs.bat , choose to save it as *all files and place it on your desktop.

Doubleclick on findjobs.bat and post the content of the txtfile you get in your next reply.
(NOTE: You can delete this file afterwards.)
