Ok, well heres a list of all the programs i have installed at the moment, im tryin to free up some space on my computer so i was wondering if i could have some advice on what i dont really need or any alternatives. Here is the list:

ares 1.8.1 156MB
avast! antivirus 45.64MB
avi codec 0.66MB
ccleaner 1.24MB
divX 3.02MB
divX player 3.02MB
easy cd creator 5 basic 21.15MB
hijackthis
j2se development kit 5.0 update 4 280MB
j2se runtime environment 5.0 update 4 151MB
macromedia shockwave player

microsoft xp proffesional with frontpage 506MB

winace archiver 7.61MB
winavi converter 5.74MB
windows installer 3.1
windows service pack 2
winpatrol 0.74MB
zonealarm 9.68MB

Obviously some of the things i dont plan on removing but as i wrote earlier if anyone has any tips or alternative ideas then they would be greatly appreciated. I also have one other little concern which is with this website page, for some reason i can't view it as i usually do it comes up all messed up with only a white background and text, i think it could be something to do with html.

The only significant programs are ares and the java devlopment kit, taking about 440mb. I don't know why your JRE uses 150mb?

How large is your drive and how much do you need?
